grubblin is a wake-up alarm for iPhone with a pixel goblin who lives or sulks by your mornings. the alarm rings through silent mode and focus, and only stops for good when you finish a mission: some math, some steps, or scanning a barcode you registered. your streak counts mornings won. with grubblin plus, won mornings hatch collectible creatures.
set your wake time and days. grubblin asks for alarm permission so it can ring with the app closed.
when it rings, tap "mission" and do it. stop it without the mission and it rings again 2 minutes later.
optional: give grub Screen Time access and he locks the apps you pick for 30 or 60 minutes after the mission, or overnight with the bedtime lock.
up before the alarm? in the last hour before it rings, tap "up early" on the home screen and do the mission. that ring is skipped and the morning still counts.
the alarm, the math, steps and scan missions, the morning guard, the bedtime lock, the streak and the widget are free. no ads.
grubblin plus unlocks the hatchery (mystery eggs, collectible creatures), two extra missions (memory and typing) and HD exports of your week clip.
monthly or yearly subscription one-time lifetime unlock
prices are shown in the app and on the App Store. payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and the renewal is charged within 24 hours before the period ends. manage or cancel them in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. purchases are handled entirely by Apple.

check iPhone Settings → Grubblin → Alarms is allowed. then open grubblin → settings → wake alarm → "test ring". it rings 10 seconds later, even on silent.
that's the deal. tap "mission" on the alarm and finish it. stopping the alarm without the mission brings it back, up to 6 times.
a missed morning costs grub some health, unless one of your 2 monthly naps covers it. every morning won feeds him back.
stuck for 2 minutes on any mission that isn't math? grub lets you switch to hard math instead. you can change the mission any time in settings → wake alarm.
the guard is optional and needs Screen Time access (iPhone Settings → Screen Time → Apps with Screen Time Access) and a doom list in grubblin → settings. re-opening grubblin re-arms everything.
tap the blocked app → "end the lock". it always unlocks instantly. the minutes served still count. calls, messages and system apps are never blocked.
grubblin → settings → "already bought? restore". purchases live with your Apple ID, so deleting the app never loses them.
everything lives on your phone only. deleting the app deletes all of it, instantly and completely. there is nothing on any server to ask us to remove.

grubblin collects no data. none. no analytics, no tracking, no accounts, no ads, no third-party SDKs, no servers. everything the app knows stays on your phone.
grubblin uses Apple's AlarmKit to schedule your wake alarms on your device. your alarm times and your wake-up history are stored only on your phone.
all notifications are local, scheduled on your device. nothing is sent from a server.
payments are processed by Apple. grubblin only receives Apple's confirmation that a purchase exists, never your payment details or identity.
grubblin does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children, because it collects no data at all.
if this policy ever changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new effective date. since the app has no network connection to you, a policy change can never retroactively affect data. there is none.
